If you need copies of documents from our archives for private research, you can order them from Powys Archives. We may not be able to deal with large requests, so if you need a lot of documents, please contact us to find out if we can help.

Please supply me with the copy/copies detailed above, required by me for the purposes of research or private study I declare that- (a) I have not previously been supplied with a copy of the same material by Powys Archives or any other library or archive; (b) I will not use the copy except for research for a non-commercial purpose or private study and will not supply a copy of it to any other person: and (c) to the best of my knowledge the work had not been published before the document was deposited in Powys Archives and the copyright owner has not prohibited copying of the work (unpublished work) or (c) To the best of my knowledge no other person with whom I work or study has made or intends to make at or about the same time as this request, a request for substantially the same materials for substantially the same purpose (published work or article) I understand that if the declaration is false in a material particular, the copy supplied to me by you will be an infringing copy, and that I shall be liable for infringement of copyright as if I had made the copy myself. Permission in writing is required for publication in any medium (including electronic)

• No flash photography or any scanner which makes contact with the document is permitted • Normal document handling rules apply. Consult searchroom supervisor/archivist on this

I undertake that, without first obtaining written authority from Powys Archives, I will not myself and neither will I permit any other person or persons to: • part with the possession or custody of the photographic negatives or prints • reproduce, publish or exhibit the said photographic prints or copies of them 2. I understand if this declaration is false any copy which I take from any published or unpublished record(s) in your care may be regarded as an infringement of copyright 3. If you wish to reproduce, publish or exhibit copies of any of our documents in any medium, please download the permission form below and send it to the Principal Lead Museums, Archives and Information Management. We will let you know if we can give you permission, and will tell you how much you need to pay.
